Trainer

  • He taught NCL, MATLAB, CDO and how to write a scientific paper to Bachelor, Master, and PhD students (2018-19, 2020). The training was organized by the International Meteorological Students Association (IMSA) and the college of International Students (CIS), Nanjing University of Information, Science and Technology, China.
  • He taught Python, ArcGIS, academic writing (scientific paper writing) and SPSS to Bangladeshi students. The programs were organized by the Research Society (https://researchsociety20.org/our-activities/).

Work Experience 

  • Currently, he is working as a research assistant of Professor Dr Yubin Li, school of Atmospheric Physics, Nanjing University of Information, Science and Technology, China. His duty is to forecast meteorological disasters using machine learning including deep learning models.
  • He worked as a research assistant of Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar and Dr. Kevin Cheung. It was a PhD research work of Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar, Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Macquarie University, Australia. His responsibility was to collect baseline information, household survey, study area visit, data entry, coding, decoding, and reporting during December 2016-April 2017 for helping Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar’s PhD research, entitled “Cyclone risk perceptions, impacts and adaptations in coastal Bangladesh: households and experts’ perspectives”. Reference Number: 5201600982.
  • He has successfully performed an internship from 1 January 2015 to May 2015 under the DUET NICHE project, entitled “Capacity Development on Adaptation and Disaster Management in Water Sector Related to Climate Change”. The program was for the partial fulfilments of the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Disaster Management (Hons.) and funded by Nuffic and Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
